What are the key challenges you face in care home construction?

At RDT, our commitment to detailed and well co-ordinated construction drawings is proving invaluable in delivering this state-of-the-art 75-bed care home in Harpenden for Oakland Care.

By working closely with Oakland Care’s operations team and securing planning approval alongside Jarvis Homes, our design process ensured clear and precise detailing and buildability.

Now under construction with Building Construction Partnership, the team has endorsed the quality of our drawings, whilst highlighting how our collaborative approach is highly beneficial in the construction phase and helps resolve site queries efficiently.

Our 3D BIM-compliant approach has further minimised site conflicts, improved efficiency and ensuring smooth progress.

This project is a true collaborative effort, with key contributions from Coast Consulting Engineers, Envision, and Aedifice Partnership Project Managers. Together, we are setting new standards in care home design, combining comfort, sustainability, and community integration.
