Abbots Wood Manor Care Home in Hailsham, operated by Hamberley Care Home Group, has been shortlisted as finalist for Care Home Design of the Year at the 25th National Care Awards.

RDT were delighted to work alongside Hamberley Development and contractor Lawrence Baker on this 60 bedroom residential care home, a stunning purpose-built development offering luxury living and exceptional care.

This two storey building was designed to respect the architectural characteristics of the neighbouring properties and RDT were involved from the detailed design through to completion.

Residents are given the opportunity to be as independent as possible with vibrant living spaces and quiet lounges on every floor, with a choice of whether to socialise or spend time alone. The activity lounge benefits from a spectacular vaulted ceiling and spacious balcony with views across the courtyard garden.

The care home environment creates a nurturing and stimulating environment for residents and staff with a bistro, wellbeing and beauty salon, cinema and outside are beautifully landscaped gardens and a courtyard patio.

The National Care Awards will take place on 24 November 2023 at London’s Excel so fingers crossed for this prestigious award.
