Great Progress at Little Furze Care Home

Our Construction Director, Chris, and Senior Architectural Technologist, Jack, visited the new South Oxhey Care Home site last week and were thrilled with the progress being made.

Furzewood Lodge is a state-of-the-art care home designed to accommodate 75 residents, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and enhancing the residents' experience.

The facility will feature a fully electric energy solution, incorporating photovoltaic panels and air source heat pump technology. Thoughtful design ensures garden access at every level, creating a seamless connection to the outdoors for all residents.

It was great to see the high-quality workmanship and how the project is coming together to meet the vision for a modern, sustainable, and welcoming care home. Internally some of the rooms have been decorated and kitchen units and light fittings have been installed.

RDT Architects are proud to collaborate with main contactor Kori Construction and project partners Ashden Project Managers and Scott White Hookins to deliver this transformative community building for Hertfordshire County Council.
