New purpose built 77 bedroom nursing care home in Wormley for Hertfordshire County Council.
RDT Architects were involved throughout the conceptual design, planning and construction phases.
The design/delivery team includes Clegg Construction, PEP Engineers, Couch Perry Wilkes and Project Managers Aedifice.
The home is part of a 3.6 acre redevelopment on a former primary school site and RDT were part of the wider master plan design which includes 13 residential dwellings.
The riverside care home is delivered over two floors around a household model of care with clustered living groups surrounding a central courtyard garden with further communal facilities including a café, lounges, activity room and hair salon opening out over a number of amenity gardens, terraces and balconies.
The care home is operated by Gold Care Homes.
